I designed a GIF for the Esquire. They cover different topics like style, culture, food, and news. I think overall they have a less serious tone in their stories. The news story I picked, specifically, was a from the culture category. In this category they post entertainment type of news. Things like movies, music, books, and TV.
The story I picked was "40 Rare Photos of Will Smith Keeping it Fresh for Three Decades." They posted this for his birthday. I wanted to pick this story because I think it would be an appropriate topic to add a GIF to if you were scrolling through Twitter. Because they seem to be a more lighthearted news org and Will Smith is always lighthearted, I wanted to keep the GIF fun as well. I chose to go back to his rots, and pick a Fresh Prince of Bel Air photo from the article, that they chose from Getty Images. I made a 90s print background that would move behind him.
